Thinking of your timing? Here is a suggested time line by wedding experts in regards to addressing and mailing of wedding invitations: Envelopes should be delivered to the calligrapher at least 3 months in advance of wedding. Invitations should be mailed 6 to 8 weeks in advance of wedding.
Also, I always advise clients to have the post office hand cancel your stamps, as the machine can damage the envelopes!
If you are interested in hiring a wedding calligrapher, be sure to contact them well in advance of your dates - at certain times of the year, we are booked months in advance.

The time I need to complete an order varies greatly depending on the details of the order; however here are some guidelines to give you an idea:
Envelope addressing: Please allow one week per one hundred envelopes.
Name/table card orders: Please allow three to five days for your order.
Map orders: These projects generally require up to two weeks.
Invitation Designs: Please allow one week.
Logo Designs: Please allow at least two weeks
All hand lettered items require one full day drying time to avoid nasty smudges!
-
Please be in touch prior to placing your order if you need your items right away. Depending on my schedule, I am sometimes able to accommodate rush orders.
Rush orders have a 25% rush fee added.
-
For Addressing work: Please provide around 15-20% additional materials as calligraphy is a "human process" that can sometimes have a slip of the pen nib!
(For example, if 100 envelopes are being addressed, please send me around 120. I can keep a few extra after your order is completed if you think you may have changes to your guest list.) -
When you order a custom design (such as a map, invitation, crest or menu etc.) your order includes two changes / alterations /additions to the design. If I have made a spelling mistake (yes, it does happen!) then that fix is not counted as a revision.
Any additional changes / alterations /additions to your design are at a fee of $25 each, and are dependant upon my current schedule.
